Living in Appreciation of Life’s Miracles

Each and every day we wake up and go to sleep and hardly ever pay much attention to the miracles that are happening around us.

We live in a Universe that is in constant action. Nothing is ever stagnant. We can see it when we look around our environment. We can see the miracles that happen in nature when the change of the seasons gives birth to new plants and refreshes the animals.

Just think this planet is spinning at 1,039 miles per hour and making a full rotation every 24 hours. And we don’t even feel it! What a miracle.

When we go to sleep at night we don’t wonder if the sun is going to rise in the morning or when we get out of bed we aren’t concerned if gravity will hold us down. These things we just take for granted.
There are also hidden miracles occurring inside of us, ones we don’t know about. Did you know the human body has 37.2 trillion cells and each one is in action doing what it is designed to do?

The heart beats, the lungs breath, the blood circulates. We don’t have to tell them when or how to do their work they just do it. Just think if you had to remember to tell your heart to beat or your lungs to expand and contract, the concentration that would take.
Life is teaming with miracles and when we can stop long enough to acknowledge them we will experience gratitude and that feeling of gratitude can help us handle what ever challenge we may be experiencing. We begin to appreciate all of our life, because we are alive.

We all have difficulties we will face in life. Events will happen that are out of our control. Situations may befall us that make us feel helpless, worthless or useless. But one thing we do have control over and that is how we view our life.

We have choice. We can see the glass as half empty or half full. It is all in our perception. When we stay awake to life’s miracles we live in a constant state of thankfulness and gratitude.

Gratitude for the miracles happening around us and within us will give us that positive perspective we need to move through difficulties. We will know and understand that everything changes and that what ever is happening today will be a little different tomorrow. When we appreciate the little things in life we cultivate happiness and joy.

Make a commitment to look for the miracles that are happening around you and when you see them be grateful for them. This will develop an attitude of Gratitude. And that attitude will help you live a life filled with awe and wonder, and give you the courage and strength to handle any change that may come along.
